About The Position

1X is building humanoid robots for home use, aiming to automate chores and tasks to give people more free time. This involves solving complex challenges in robotics, AI, and manufacturing simultaneously, at scale, and in a safe form factor. The company has been developing since 2014 and is now focused on shipping its flagship product, NEO. The Tooling team is responsible for building the tools, pipelines, and infrastructure that accelerate iteration and ensure software quality before deployment to physical robots. This team manages the build, release, and continuous integration infrastructure for various software components, including core OS, motion, AI, embedded systems, cloud services, apps, and simulation. As the engineering organization grows, the Tooling team plays a crucial role in reducing developer friction, enhancing release quality, and enabling rapid software deployment to both simulation and physical robots.
