Requirements

  • 5+ years of experience in budget analysis, financial planning, or engineering related field.
  • Bachelor’s degree in Engineering, Accounting, Finance, or related discipline
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with high attention to detail
  • Proficient in Excel and Microsoft Office Suite (incl. Teams and SharePoint)
  • Strong communication and presentation skills
  • Korean language proficiency

Nice To Haves

  • Experience in the automotive industry
  • Familiarity with Smartsheet or similar tools
  • SAP

Responsibilities

  • Lead budget coordination for Michigan-based R&D teams, including project, vehicle, and fixed asset budgets
  • Partner cross-regionally with California teams to ensure alignment and consistency
  • Support annual planning cycles and budget recovery processes
  • Review budget submissions and provide feedback to ensure compliance and readiness for leadership approval
  • Prepare and present budgets to internal committees
  • Conduct monthly budget forecasting, variance analysis, and performance reporting
  • Analyze spending trends, identify execution gaps, and proactively recommend solutions
  • Perform ROI analysis for large-scale budgets (300M KRW+)
  • Act as the primary liaison for HQ Finance and collaborate closely with Korea-based stakeholders
  • Lead monthly budget performance meetings with Michigan teams; support California team reviews
  • Engage underperforming teams to resolve budget execution challenges
  • Co-manage the budget database, Microsoft 365 Group, and SharePoint environments
  • Ensure accuracy and integrity of Michigan data and validate cross-regional data
  • Drive continuous improvement of budget processes, reporting standards, and systems
  • Train internal teams on budgeting tools, policies, and best practices
