About The Position

Parsons is seeking a Bridge Engineer to support the design and delivery of complex structural projects and contribute to innovative engineering solutions. This role is part of the Critical Infrastructure team, which plans, designs, builds, and modernizes infrastructure in collaboration with colleagues, partners, and customers. The team’s work aims to improve communities and quality of life by promoting economic growth, enhancing mobility, and increasing sustainability and resiliency.

Requirements

Bachelor’s degree in Civil Engineering with an emphasis on Structural Engineering.
Professional Engineer (PE) license.
At least 8 years of experience.
FDOT project experience.

Responsibilities

Analyze and prepare project designs, calculations, and drawings for steel bridges, precast prestressed concrete bridges, cast-in-place flat slabs, and miscellaneous structures.
Apply pre-established design templates effectively.
Propose innovative solutions to design problems.
Prepare engineering reports and contract documents for review.
Potentially assign, track, and review technicians’ or designers’ tasks, and apply technical discretion to the first revision of technician work products.
Potentially serve as Engineer-of-Record for assigned engineering tasks.
Manage timely completion of multiple assigned tasks.
Communicate with team members, internal design groups, clients, subconsultants, and relevant government agencies.
Present proposed design solutions at internal project meetings and potentially contribute to presentations with external parties.
Provide timely personal resume updates and participate in marketing campaigns.
Complete timesheets and expense reports on time.
Pursue personal career development by seeking and providing feedback, developing new skills, and setting and pursuing personal goals.
Contribute to the development of other team members through mentorship and positive role modeling.
