About The Position

As part of Powell's switchgear and E-house manufacturing and field servicing work, the Senior Breaker Tech provides remote technical assistance and hands-on troubleshooting, repair, and testing of medium-voltage electrical distribution equipment. The role builds, refurbishes, rebuilds, repairs, and tests circuit breakers, contactors, grounding devices, and other electrical distribution equipment. The position also interprets Powell electrical schematics and wiring diagrams and retrieves and prints drawings from Powell's database. The role reports to the Breaker Department Manager and regularly interacts internally with Project Management, Sales, and Quality Assurance. Requirements

At least 4 years of experience in a similar role.
Demonstrated understanding of basic electrical theory, safety, and applications.
Proficiency using Oracle, Microsoft Outlook, Word, and Excel.
Working knowledge of Hi-Potential Test Sets, Insulation Resistance Test Sets, multimeters, and dial calipers.
Working knowledge of various hand tools and mechanical adaptability.
Strong verbal and written communication skills.

Nice To Haves

High school diploma or General Education Diploma; preferred.
Proficiency in problem solving.

Responsibilities

Build, refurbish, rebuild, repair, and test circuit breakers, contactors, grounding devices, and other electrical distribution equipment.
