About The Position

The Senior Breaker Tech provides remote technical assistance and hands-on troubleshooting, repair, and testing of medium-voltage electrical distribution equipment. The role builds, refurbishes, rebuilds, repairs, and tests circuit breakers, contactors, grounding devices, and other electrical distribution equipment. It also involves interpreting Powell electrical schematics and wiring diagrams and retrieving and printing drawings from the Powell database. The employee maintains a safe and clean working environment and interacts regularly with Project Management, Sales, and Quality Assurance. The position reports to the Breaker Department Manager.

Requirements

At least 4 years of experience in a similar role.
Demonstrated understanding of basic electrical theory, safety, and applications.
Proficiency with Oracle, MS Outlook, Word, and Excel.
Working knowledge of Hi-Potential Test Sets, Insulation Resistance Test Sets, multimeters, and dial calipers.
Working knowledge of various hand tools and mechanical adaptability.
Strong verbal and written communication skills.

Nice To Haves

High school diploma or General Education Diploma is preferred.
Problem-solving proficiency is preferred.
