About The Position

Onshore is the modern standard for U.S. companies claiming the R&D tax credit. We find, document, and defend the tax credits and deductions that farms, manufacturers, architects, and engineers have earned. Claiming the R&D tax credit has historically been an ordeal full of consultants, spreadsheets, and hidden fees. Now, our software and AI-powered solutions read every line of a client's records against the tax code, produce verified computations, and are reviewed by a credentialed tax professional before filing. Role overview: The Senior Brand Designer shapes how Onshore looks and sounds everywhere it shows up — product marketing, sales, social, the website, the people we work with every day. You're the only designer here and a critical player in the company’s success. You'll build out Onshore's visual system so it holds together across every industry we serve, working directly the VP of Marketing and the leadership team. It's a chance to build a brand from the inside, not maintain someone else's.

Requirements

Real experience in brand or marketing design, in-house or agency, including projects you owned start to finish.
A portfolio that shows strong craft, systems thinking, and storytelling — ideally across brand and product marketing.
The ability to apply one brand identity across very different industries, without losing what makes it recognizable.
Judgment about the brand system: when to follow the pattern, and when a new one is worth building.
Clear communication. You can explain why a design works, take feedback well, and hold the line for the brand when it matters.
A self-starter who sets their own bar — you're the only designer here, so the standard is whatever you make it.
A bachelor's degree in graphic design, fine arts, or a related field, or equivalent experience.

Nice To Haves

Comfortable with Adobe Creative Suite (Photoshop, Illustrator, InDesign), Figma, and Canva.
Experience with the latest AI design tools to work faster without losing quality.
Experience designing for web and social: responsive layouts, platform-specific formats.
Basic motion or video editing (After Effects).
Some UX/UI exposure. You may be asked to weigh in on product visuals for consistency.
Photography or illustration skills.

Responsibilities

Own creative from brief to launch — social, product marketing, sales enablement, events.
Build and extend Onshore's visual system: layout, motion, templates — so it holds together everywhere it shows up.
Work with marketing and leadership to turn dense, industry-specific ideas into visuals people understand at a glance.
Scope your own projects and keep them moving, start to finish. You're the only designer, so this is yours to run.
Build templates so people outside design can stay on-brand without asking you every time.
Cover event and conference materials: signage, booth graphics, swag.
Run more than one project at a time in a fast-moving company, with no other designer to hand things to.
Prepare final files for print and for every platform we publish on.
