About The Position

Emory University’s School of Medicine Orthopaedics is seeking a Senior Biostatistician to develop and analyze research data using statistical methods and support researchers with study design, statistical analyses, and reporting. The position contributes to statistical methods and tests, sample size calculations, randomization schedules, protocol development, database design reviews, and data quality procedures. It also develops and validates SAS programs; interprets results; prepares statistical documentation, reports, regulatory submission files, grant materials, and manuscript sections; and reviews statistical analysis plans, programs, and reports. The Senior Biostatistician provides guidance and training to junior biostatisticians and other team members, supports biostatisticians, programmers, and data analysts, and may assign and monitor project personnel activities. The role helps set work priorities, evaluate new statistical methods, contribute to team member evaluations, and estimate budgets for statistical support on complex clinical studies. Position tasks are generally performed in person at an Emory University location. Remote work-from-home days may be granted at department discretion, and Emory may change remote work status with notice.
