About The Position

The Senior Biostatistician develops and analyzes research data using statistical methods and supports researchers in designing studies and conducting analyses. The role contributes to selecting statistical methods, planning sample sizes, creating randomization schedules, preparing protocol and manuscript methods sections, and interpreting results. It also develops and validates SAS programs, reviews databases and data edit checks, prepares regulatory submission files, and maintains documentation of methods, programs, and results. The position provides technical guidance and training to junior biostatisticians and other team members, supports project prioritization and personnel activities, and helps review statistical analysis plans, programs, reports, and grant applications. It monitors data collection and quality, helps ensure study protocols are followed, and may estimate budgets for complex clinical studies. Tasks are generally performed in person at an Emory University location; remote-work options may be granted at the department’s discretion and may change with notice.
