Requirements

  • High school diploma or equivalent
  • Four plus years of relevant industry experience or 520 hours as an Imagine temporary employee along with manager approval to hire full-time.
  • Ability to communicate/understand basic written and verbal instructions.
  • Basic math skills including addition, subtraction, multiplication, division, and measurement.
  • Basic computer skills including email, basic mouse, keyboard, and menu navigation.
  • Frequent walking and standing.
  • Ability to visually inspect all work for defects and distinguish colors.
  • Manual dexterity for repetitive work.
  • Frequent reaching, bending, climbing, kneeling, crouching, and stooping.
  • Ability to lift, push and pull up to 50 pounds.

Nice To Haves

  • Previous bindery experience preferred.

Responsibilities

  • Performs manual and machine operator tasks related to the operation of bindery machines, continuously meeting/exceeding productivity and quality standards, and completing within budget and on time.
  • Acts as a resource to Operators and assists leads in trouble shooting.
  • May assist in training others and operate multiple machines.
  • Operates multiple machines in the following areas: Folding, Stitching, Collating, Cutting.
  • Set-up and adjust machines.
  • Load machine, observe operation and match samples to job order specifications.
  • Review job ticket for specifications or special instructions that may impact the operation or set-up of the machine.
  • Continuously review the quality of the product during operation to meet specified job requirements.
  • Performs preventative maintenance to equipment.
  • Completes production records.
  • Track job costs/production hours as applicable.
  • Train Operators as needed.
  • Works overtime as needed.
  • Other duties as assigned.
