About The Position

Latham & Watkins is seeking a Senior Billing Specialist for their Revenue Operations team in the Boston Office. This role is responsible for coordinating the billing process, performing complex billing duties, and preparing and analyzing intricate client billing requests. The position may be eligible for a flexible working schedule, allowing for a hybrid and in-office presence.

Requirements

  • Superior ability to communicate confidently and effectively at all levels within an organization.
  • Proven ability to manage workload and prioritize tasks effectively to meet deadlines.
  • Demonstrated strong technology skills, including advanced knowledge of Microsoft Word, Excel, and Outlook.
  • A high school diploma or equivalent.
  • A bachelor’s degree or equivalent, preferably.
  • A minimum of three (3) years of relevant experience in a legal, accounting, finance, or equivalent industry, preferably.
  • Experience using financial systems, preferably.

Responsibilities

  • Creating, editing, and finalizing bills in accordance with firm and client requirements and billing attorney directives, reviewing proformas, handling subsequent corrections, and coordinating e-billing.
  • Preparing and finalizing invoices in line with internal and external regulation and legislation, including Value-Added Tax (VAT), Criminal Finances Act Solicitors’ Accounts Rules, and money laundering regulations, as applicable.
  • Ensuring successful delivery of invoices and coordinating with revenue and e-billing teams for submission, and helping resolve rejections and reductions.
  • Generating and reviewing proformas from 3E for informational and billing purposes.
  • Utilizing computerized billing and payable software modules to complete the billing process and client refunds, and researching and providing information to customers.
  • Protecting and maintaining any highly sensitive, confidential, privileged, financial, and/or proprietary information that Latham & Watkins retains.
