About The Position

We are seeking a Senior Billing Risk Analyst to strengthen billing controls, conduct audits and risk assessments, and drive continuous improvement across billing and revenue operations. The right candidate will be a proven self-starter with an owner/operator mentality, strong ownership and accountability, excellent oral and written communication skills, and a passion for operational excellence. The Senior Billing Risk Analyst is responsible for conducting audits, strengthening control frameworks, and performing risk assessments to help ensure the accuracy, completeness, and integrity of billing processes. This role collaborates closely with the Billing Implementation Manager, Billing Operations, and Product and Engineering teams to drive improvement projects, automate manual processes, and enhance operational efficiency. Additionally, the Senior Billing Risk Analyst will help ensure a strong control environment around fee accommodations and oversee offshore team progress and deliverables. We can consider candidates for this position who are able to accommodate a hybrid work schedule and are close to our office location in Concord, CA, Phoenix, AZ, or Charlotte, NC.

Requirements

Strong aptitude for rapidly understanding and mastering new technologies or systems
Deep knowledge of the TAMP industry, particularly platform-based or advisory fee/management fee structures
Knowledge of financial services regulatory requirements preferred
Ability to articulate clear messages and concise instructions through oral and written communication
Strong prioritization and organizational skills
Proven ability to build cross-functional relationships, especially with Sales, Legal, and Finance teams
Ability to manage multiple priorities and work with a high degree of independence and accountability
Ability to assess and minimize risk to the organization while maintaining a strong control environment
Outstanding Customer Focus – seeing the “bigger” picture and the ability to always identify what is in the best interest of the client and the firm
Bachelor’s degree or equivalent experience required
5+ years’ financial services experience required
Prior external or internal audit experience

Responsibilities

Lead pre-billing audits to ensure the accuracy of billing inputs into the billing system
Monitor and resolve daily billing import errors
Complete quarterly audits to validate the accuracy and reasonableness of custodial partner billing
Maintain data integrity and accuracy within billing systems and reports
Oversee end-to-end controls to ensure the completeness and accuracy of billing activities, including fee discount implementation and billing system accuracy
Ensure a strong control environment so that fee accommodations are evaluated consistently, properly approved, accurately reflected in billing systems, and monitored for financial, operational, and client impact
Oversee offshore team progress, monitor quality and completion of assigned work, escalate issues, and ensure offshore deliverables align with billing risk, audit, and control objectives
Conduct ongoing risk assessments, identify key risks, and recommend appropriate control measures
Monitor the effectiveness of risk controls, assess performance, and implement improvements as needed
Facilitate comprehensive reviews of client experience cases, identify root causes and trends, and provide actionable recommendations to Platform Revenue leaders
Promote a strong risk-aware culture through consistent communication, training, and best practices
Collaborate with cross-functional teams to identify operational, financial, regulatory, and reputational risks
