About The Position

Zer04 Consulting is seeking a Senior BI Architect with Power BI and Fabric experience for an established organization in the Cincinnati area. This full-time, on-site opportunity is for a hands-on Business Intelligence professional who can design, build, and deliver enterprise analytics solutions and take ownership of complex BI initiatives. The successful candidate will own the buildout of the corporate BI environment, making technical decisions and translating business requirements into scalable, reliable solutions.

The role combines advanced Power BI development with modern data engineering and end-to-end BI solution delivery. The architect will guide solutions from design and architecture through development, deployment, and optimization, while collaborating with stakeholders and supporting operational and strategic decision-making. Candidates must be authorized to work in the United States without employer sponsorship. C2C candidates are not being considered.

Requirements

• Strong professional experience developing enterprise reporting and analytics solutions using Microsoft Power BI.
• Advanced proficiency with DAX, SQL, Power Query, and dimensional data modeling.
• Hands-on experience with Microsoft Fabric or comparable Azure-based data technologies.
• Experience designing and implementing ETL/ELT processes and integrating data from multiple systems.
• Demonstrated experience owning BI solution architecture and hands-on implementation, rather than exclusively developing within established environments.
• Ability to independently design, build, deploy, and maintain production-ready analytics solutions.
• Strong analytical, problem-solving, and communication skills.
• Ability to translate business needs into practical, scalable technical solutions.
• Authorization to work in the United States without employer sponsorship.

Nice To Haves

• Experience building enterprise BI capabilities from the ground up or leading significant modernization efforts.
• Familiarity with Fabric Lakehouses, Warehouses, data pipelines, and related data engineering capabilities.
• Experience implementing data security, governance, and performance optimization practices.
• Exposure to Azure data services, version control, and modern development and deployment practices.
• Relevant Microsoft certifications.

Responsibilities

• Design, develop, and maintain scalable Business Intelligence solutions using Microsoft Power BI and Fabric.
• Take technical ownership of BI initiatives from solution design and architecture through development, deployment, and optimization.
• Build and maintain data integration processes, pipelines, and transformation workflows across multiple enterprise data sources.
• Develop semantic models, dimensional data structures, and reusable business logic for consistent reporting.
• Create interactive dashboards, executive reports, KPIs, and self-service analytics solutions.
• Establish and maintain best practices for data quality, security, governance, and reporting performance.
• Collaborate with business stakeholders to gather requirements and deliver solutions supporting operational and strategic decision-making.
• Independently troubleshoot complex technical challenges and identify opportunities to improve analytics capabilities.
• Own the buildout of the corporate BI environment.
