About The Position

The Senior Backend JavaScript Developer will take ownership of product and feature development using modern technologies in a fast-paced, professional agile environment. The role is hybrid and based in San Francisco. The developer will build features end to end, from conception through production, participate in system design and architecture planning, and contribute independently while supporting shared team goals. The role also calls for continued learning and staying current with evolving technologies and best practices.

Requirements

• At least 5 years of hands-on experience in development or engineering.
• At least 3 years of experience focused specifically on back-end JavaScript development.
• Expertise in Node.js, MongoDB, Express, Kubernetes, RabbitMQ, Cassandra, and Snowflake.
• In-depth understanding of network protocols and security, including TCP/IP, DNS, HTTP, HTTPS, CORS, and WebSockets.
• Proficiency in system design and architecture to ensure product functionality, performance, scalability, and reliability.
• Ability to learn quickly and work both independently and as a team player.

Nice To Haves

• Front-end experience with HTML, CSS, and React.
