About The Position

Miratech is seeking a Senior Backend Engineer (Golang) to design and build scalable, reliable, and secure backend systems. The role focuses on developing distributed services, designing robust APIs, implementing event-driven architectures, and maintaining high standards for performance, maintainability, and system reliability. Occasional contributions to React-based frontend functionality may be required.

The engineer will work on backend services and integrations, including systems connecting internal services with enterprise platforms and third-party systems. The position includes participation in technical and architectural decisions, code reviews, testing, and knowledge sharing across the engineering team.

Requirements

• At least 6 years of experience as a Software Engineer.
• Strong experience building backend applications and services using Golang.
• Solid understanding of concurrency in Golang and asynchronous workflows.
• Hands-on experience with event-driven architectures and message handling, using technologies such as Kafka, NATS, RabbitMQ, or similar.
• Experience with AWS and cloud-native architectures.
• Proven experience designing APIs and event schemas with long-term evolution and backward compatibility in mind.
• Strong understanding of authentication, authorization, and secure API design.
• Experience with microservice architectures and distributed systems.
• Experience with relational and/or NoSQL databases.
• Experience with Docker and Kubernetes.
• Strong commitment to automated testing, including unit and integration testing.

Nice To Haves

• Experience with React and modern frontend development.
• Experience with TypeScript and Protobuf.
• Experience with Azure or GCP cloud platforms.
• Experience with monitoring and observability tools such as Grafana and Prometheus.
• Experience with identity and access management solutions such as Keycloak, Auth0, Okta, or similar.

Responsibilities

• Design, implement, and maintain scalable backend services in Golang, including RESTful APIs and stable data contracts that can evolve safely.
• Implement and manage asynchronous, event-driven communication with strong guarantees for message reliability, idempotency, error handling, and backward compatibility.
• Design and develop distributed systems and microservices focused on scalability, resilience, and maintainability.
• Optimize application performance, reliability, and resource utilization in production environments.
• Participate in architecture discussions and contribute to technical decision-making.
• Conduct code reviews and support knowledge sharing across the engineering team.
• Design code for testability and write and maintain unit and integration tests for APIs, business logic, and integrations.
• Design and maintain secure APIs and service integrations using best practices in authentication, authorization, and identity management.
• Build integrations with enterprise platforms such as Salesforce, Microsoft Dynamics, ServiceNow, and Genesys Cloud, as well as other third-party systems.
• Design and maintain reliable integrations between internal services and external enterprise platforms.
