About The Position

Yoodli is a private, personalized, and AI-powered speech coach aiming to help people worldwide improve their communication skills without judgment. We have secured over $7M in seed funding from prominent investors and have been featured in major publications. We recently partnered with Toastmasters International to offer AI-powered speech coaching to over 300,000 members globally. As a mission-focused, fast-growing startup based at the Allen AI Institute in Seattle, our team comprises alumni from leading tech companies. This role is hybrid, requiring 3 days a week in the office, and is based in the Greater Seattle Area.

Requirements

5+ years of professional development experience, shipping production code.
Strong backend capabilities - experience owning services end-to-end and a track record of delivering in fast-moving environments.
Solid experience with cloud infrastructure (GCP, AWS, or Azure) and Infrastructure as Code.
Proficiency in TypeScript or Python, with the ability to debug complex distributed systems.
Clear communicator who works well across engineering and product, and who gives and receives feedback well.
Understanding of how work connects to business outcomes and user impact.
Bachelor's degree in Computer Science or equivalent experience.

Nice To Haves

Experience with LLMs, generative AI, and AI-powered applications.
Speech/audio processing technologies and real-time communication systems.
NoSQL databases and Kubernetes.
Google Cloud Platform.
