Senior Backend Engineer - Bitcoin

BitGo is seeking a Senior Backend Engineer to join their Blockchain Team and contribute to the development of new features and applications for their enterprise clients. This role presents a unique opportunity to be part of BitGo's founding team in India, collaborating with talented engineers, product managers, and security experts. The responsibilities of the role include building robust APIs, libraries, and services for wallet services, taking ownership of functionality and scalability features, collaborating with engineering teams, and providing mentorship to peers. The ideal candidate should have at least 5 years of back-end software development experience, Bitcoin/crypto knowledge, proficiency in algorithm design and problem-solving, and strong expertise in Node.JS, JavaScript, Java, PostgreSQL, and MongoDB.

• Build strong, resilient, and robust APIs, libraries, and services to power wallet services such as hot and cold wallets, indexing, staking, and SDK services.
• Take ownership of functionality and scalability features from inception to deployment and customer integration.
• Expose and document functionality to the UI, third-party developers, and internal and external tooling.
• Collaborate closely with all engineering teams to ensure consistency in understanding technical requirements and overall work quality.
• Provide mentorship to peers in the broader engineering team through code reviews and education on best practices.

• At least 5 years of back-end, server-side software development
• Bitcoin/Crypto experience
• Great at algorithm design, problem solving, and complexity analysis
• Strong experience with Node.JS, JavaScript, Java, PostgreSQL and MongoDB
• Strong experience with RESTful API development
