About The Position

We are seeking a Senior AWS Application Developer to design and build scalable, cloud-native applications within a highly dynamic AWS environment. This role is hands-on and involves developing robust backend services, modern front-end applications, and highly performant data solutions. We partner with 15 of the top 20 banks globally, and our top 10 banking clients have worked with us for an average of 26 years!. This role is located at a client site in either Plano, TX. A hybrid working model is acceptable.

Requirements

  • 8+ years of backend development experience using Java (11+) and Python in enterprise environments
  • Proven experience designing and building cloud-native applications on AWS (ECS/EKS, Lambda, API Gateway, SQS/SNS, IAM, CloudWatch)
  • Hands-on expertise with Amazon RDS (PostgreSQL/Aurora) including schema design, query tuning, and performance optimization
  • Solid understanding of microservices architecture, REST APIs, and event-driven systems
  • Front-end development experience with Angular and modern TypeScript practices
  • Familiarity with CI/CD pipelines (e.g., Jenkins, GitHub Actions, CodePipeline) and Infrastructure as Code (Terraform or CloudFormation)
  • Experience with containerization and orchestration (Docker, ECS, or EKS)
  • Strong testing mindset with exposure to unit, integration, and API testing frameworks
  • Knowledge of secure coding practices, IAM policies, and data protection standards
  • Ability to optimize systems for performance, scalability, and reliability
  • Comfortable working in Agile teams, participating in code reviews, and mentoring junior developers

Nice To Haves

  • Experience with Generative AI on AWS (Bedrock, Claude Sonnet)
  • Exposure to graph databases (Amazon Neptune, Gremlin/SPARQL)
  • Knowledge of OAuth2/OIDC, JWT, and regulatory compliance frameworks
  • Familiarity with observability tools like OpenTelemetry, Datadog, or CloudWatch
  • Prior experience in financial services or mortgage domain
