About The Position

We are seeking an experienced AWS Application Developer to support a high-impact, time-sensitive decommissioning initiative within a complex enterprise environment. This role involves designing, developing, and maintaining system-level applications while ensuring smooth integration with modern cloud-based architectures. We partner with 15 of the top 20 banks globally, and our top 10 banking clients have worked with us for an average of 26 years!. This role is located at a client site in either Reston, VA. A hybrid working model is acceptable.

Requirements

  • 5+ years of experience in software development, ideally within large-scale or enterprise environments
  • Strong grasp of the full Software Development Lifecycle (SDLC), from requirements through deployment
  • Solid programming background with the ability to adapt across languages depending on project needs
  • Experience working with enterprise application architectures, including application and database servers
  • Hands-on experience with AWS services such as EMR, Lambda, SNS, SQS, ECS (Fargate), Batch, EventBridge, and CloudWatch
  • Proven ability to design and implement CI/CD pipelines using GitLab and Terraform
  • Comfortable analyzing complex application flows
  • Experience troubleshooting and resolving defects across different testing phases
  • Ability to work in fast-paced, deadline-driven environments, especially on transformation or decommissioning efforts
  • Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, or a related field.

  • Designing, developing, and maintaining system-level applications while ensuring smooth integration with modern cloud-based architectures.
  • Working closely with cross-functional teams to translate business requirements into scalable technical solutions, with a strong emphasis on AWS services and CI/CD pipeline implementation.
  • Troubleshooting defects across testing cycles.
  • Contributing to the modernization of legacy systems into a target-state architecture.
  • Translating complex application flows into efficient technical designs.
