About The Position

We are seeking a Senior Aviation Project Manager to join our team in Laurel, MD, or Alexandria, VA! Your role will involve leading design teams and managing large, complex aviation programs (airside, landside, and terminal). You will also be responsible for delivering successful projects with public agencies such as Airports and will have a strong seller-doer mindset, including client relationship building, pursuit strategy and positioning, proposal and interview participation, market assessment and opportunity identification, and the ability to secure new work and grow existing accounts. A passion for coaching, developing, and mentoring project teams, a strong focus on quality and long-term client satisfaction, and the ability to manage multiple priorities in a dynamic, matrixed environment are essential. Strong writing and communication skills, particularly for proposals and client-facing materials, are also required.

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in Civil Engineering.
  • Professional Engineer (P.E.) license or ability to obtain within 12 months.
  • 10–15 years of experience delivering aviation design projects.
  • Demonstrated experience leading design teams and managing large, complex aviation programs (airside, landside, and terminal).
  • Experience delivering successful projects with public agencies such as Airports.
  • A strong seller‑doer mindset.
  • Ability to travel for client meetings, project work, and pursuits.
  • Strong writing and communication skills, particularly for proposals and client‑facing materials.
