About The Position

We have an opening for a Senior AV Engineer. The Senior AV Engineer is responsible for designing, implementing, supporting, and continuously improving enterprise audiovisual systems, conference-room technology, video collaboration environments, and meeting-space experiences. This role serves as the senior technical resource for AV architecture, room standards, video conferencing platforms, control systems, audio performance, camera/display quality, and end-user meeting reliability. The engineer partners with IT, Facilities, third-party integrators, vendors, and business stakeholders to deliver secure, intuitive, and high-quality AV experiences across conference rooms, boardrooms, training rooms, huddle spaces, executive meeting areas, and hybrid collaboration environments.

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in Information Technology, Engineering, Audiovisual Technology, Telecommunications, or a related field, or equivalent professional experience
  • 7+ years of hands-on experience designing, implementing, supporting, or engineering AV systems, video conferencing rooms, collaboration spaces, or enterprise meeting technologies
  • CTS or CTS-D certification (required)
  • Deep experience with AV room technologies, including cameras, microphones, speakers, displays, control processors, DSPs, codecs, touch panels, matrix switchers, cabling standards, and room scheduling systems
  • Strong understanding of audio signal flow, gain structure, acoustic considerations, camera framing, display standards, control programming concepts, and room commissioning practices
  • Working knowledge of QoS, VLANs, DNS, DHCP, firewalls, multicast/unicast behavior, network connectivity, and enterprise network fundamentals as they relate to AV-over-IP and video collaboration services
  • Experience troubleshooting complex AV, video conferencing, room-control, and meeting-quality issues using logs, monitoring platforms, vendor portals, diagnostic utilities, and hands-on room testing
  • Familiarity with ITIL-based change, incident, and problem management practices
  • Strong documentation, communication, vendor-management, and stakeholder-engagement skills
  • Ability to manage multiple priorities, lead AV technical initiatives, and support high-visibility executive, client-facing, or mission-critical meeting environments

Nice To Haves

  • Additional certifications such as CTS-I, Microsoft Teams Rooms, Zoom Rooms, Cisco collaboration, Crestron, Extron, Q-SYS, Biamp, Shure, or other relevant AV/vendor certifications (preferred)
  • Experience with Microsoft Teams Rooms, Zoom Rooms, Cisco Webex, Poly, Crestron, Logitech, Yealink, Shure, Biamp, Q-SYS, Extron, or similar AV and collaboration ecosystems (preferred)
  • Experience with AV device provisioning, remote room monitoring, alerting platforms, reporting dashboards, firmware management, and service-management integrations (preferred)
  • Experience supporting AV standards, room templates, technology refresh programs, and multi-site conference-room deployments in hybrid, global, or highly regulated enterprise environments (preferred)

Responsibilities

  • Lead the design, engineering, deployment, configuration, and lifecycle management of enterprise AV systems, video conferencing rooms, and meeting-space technology across global offices
  • Own AV room standards for conference rooms, boardrooms, training rooms, huddle spaces, divisible rooms, executive meeting spaces, and hybrid collaboration environments
  • Engineer, configure, troubleshoot, and optimize cameras, microphones, speakers, displays, codecs, DSPs, control processors, touch panels, matrix switchers, room scheduling panels, and related AV infrastructure
  • Provide Tier 2 and 3 escalation support for complex AV and video collaboration incidents, including audio quality issues, camera/display failures, room-control problems, endpoint outages, call-join failures, and platform interoperability issues
  • Validate room performance through commissioning, testing, tuning, signal-flow review, firmware management, device health checks, and post-installation quality assurance
  • Monitor AV device health, room availability, meeting success rates, adoption trends, and user experience metrics; use analytics and reporting to identify risks and drive proactive improvements
  • Partner with network, security, endpoint, identity, facilities, workplace services, application, and vendor teams to ensure AV environments are reliable, secure, scalable, and aligned with enterprise standards
  • Lead AV upgrades, room refreshes, technology pilots, vendor evaluations, proof-of-concept efforts, and service improvement initiatives with minimal disruption to meetings and users
  • Create and maintain AV design standards, room drawings, signal-flow diagrams, configuration baselines, commissioning checklists, asset inventories, support runbooks, and knowledge-base articles
  • Support change management, incident management, problem management, capacity planning, vendor coordination, service reviews, and operational readiness for AV services
  • Mentor junior engineers and support teams on AV troubleshooting, room support procedures, commissioning practices, and operational best practices
  • Participate in scheduled maintenance windows, after-hours support, and on-call rotation as needed for AV systems, video rooms, and meeting-critical services
  • Travel between office locations or project sites may be required for room deployments, AV commissioning, support escalations, and technology refreshes
  • Maintain a high standard of AV service availability, room readiness, documentation, security, and user experience across all supported meeting spaces
