Senior Automotive Product Designer (Solidworks)
About The Position
Horsepower Automotive Group (HPAG) is a leader in the automotive aftermarket industry, with brands including Addictive Desert Designs, DV8 Offroad, Flatline Van Co., and Rago Fabrication. We are seeking a CAD Designer Lead to join our team at our Chandler, Arizona facility. This role focuses on designing quality products with great aesthetic appeal and durability for off-road vehicles. You will be responsible for the end-to-end R&D design process, creating, refining, and improving products for the off-road community. Your designs will be manufactured and installed on real vehicles. Requirements
- SolidWorks experience
- Sheet metal and welded assemblies design experience
- Manufacturing drawing experience
- 3+ years CAD design experience

Responsibilities
- Create CAD models in SolidWorks daily, from templates, physical parts, or original designs.
- Build complex 3D sheet metal and tubular assemblies ready for manufacturing.
- Process 3D scans and create scanned mesh models of vehicle data to drive new product development.
- Partner with the prototype engineering team to move new products into automation and production.
- Take open instructions on part and assembly revisions and implement them.
