Senior Automotive Product Designer (Solidworks)
About The Position
Horsepower Automotive Group (HPAG) is a leader in the automotive aftermarket industry, seeking a CAD Designer Lead to join their team in Chandler, Arizona. This role focuses on designing premium, made-in-America bumpers and accessories for off-road vehicles like Ford Raptors, Broncos, and Ram TRXs. The designer will be responsible for turning bold ideas into manufacturable reality, ensuring quality, aesthetic appeal, and durability. The position offers an opportunity to own the R&D design process end-to-end, from concept to physical product, working closely with a prototype engineering team. HPAG values a collaborative environment and encourages participation from individuals with diverse backgrounds and perspectives.
Requirements
- SolidWorks experience
- Sheet metal and welded assemblies design experience
- Manufacturing drawing experience
- 3+ years CAD design experience

Responsibilities
- Create CAD models in SolidWorks daily, from templates, physical parts, or original designs.
- Build complex 3D sheet metal and tubular assemblies ready for manufacturing.
- Process 3D scans and create scanned mesh models of vehicle data to drive new product development.
- Partner with the prototype engineering team to move new products into automation and production.
- Take open instructions on part and assembly revisions and implement them.
