About The Position

Performance Driven Workforce is seeking Full Time Senior Automotive Mechanics for an Automotive Tier 1 Supplier. In this role, you will modify cars and trucks in a prototype environment, performing a wide range of diagnostics, repairs, and maintenance. You will also mentor and oversee team members’ technical deliverables to ensure customer standards are met. This position is based out of Livonia, MI. AM Day shift with overtime available.

Requirements

High school diploma or equivalent
Minimum 8 years of work experience as a Mechanic
Must have own tools with rolling toolbox
Excellent knowledge of mechanical assembly and ability to operate shop equipment
Good attention to detail and organizational skills
Ability to work independently and as part of a team and able to mentor and train others
Ability to read, comprehend and execute written procedures

Nice To Haves

Certificate in Automotive Technology or related
State Mechanic Certification(s)
Valid driver’s license
Knowledge of vehicle alignments, air conditioning (A/C) system repairs, tire machines and balancer
Ability to work overtime as needed including the weekends

Responsibilities

Maintain vehicle functional condition by working off repair orders or leader instructions and conducting inspections
Repair mechanical and electrical system malfunctions and replace parts and components
Read, interpret, and follow service procedures
Train, coach, and mentor team members related to their job responsibilities and is available as a subject matter expert to assist the team and customers
Maintain vehicle records by entering notes, service, and repair orders
Keep shop equipment operating by following operating instructions, troubleshooting breakdowns, performing preventive maintenance, calling for repairs
Lead daily shop organization and clean-up
