The incumbent is responsible for analyzing need, designing, developing, delivering, and monitoring training programs with their business line or training topic throughout the club foodprint. Contributes to the development of the club's training evaluation strategy (measuring training effectiveness, transfer of learning, behavioral change and return on investment) and is responsible for implementation of the strategy within assigned business line and reporting of all aspects of training occurrences. Responsible for assisting with onboarding and mentoring and development of other Trainers as team members. Designs, develops, and facilitates training programs emphasizing technical and sales skills, applications, vendor and product information, AAA quality standards and Five Diamond Member experience culture. Delivers training utilizing a variety of training techniques. Ensures trainees comprehend the complexity and depth of related information. Responsible for imparting and ensuring knowledge transfer of critical safety decisions related to real time work conditions. Facilitates training programs in a variety of settings including formal classroom settings, various locations, regional training centers, distance learning and one-on-one training sessions. Training programs may be conducted after business hours. Depending on business line training may delivered to non-employees. Trainings may occur both indoor and outdoor in all weather conditions. Works with the higher levels in position and Manager to conduct training needs analysis and ensure appropriate training is provided, learning occurs and is evaluated. Makes recommendations to improve the effectiveness of training programs. Conducts individual and/or group training including sales, service, product and procedures training, utilizing adult learning techniques. Develps and utilizes pre and post training assessments to ensure that training achieves desired results. Builds professional relationships with AAA partners and vendors. Maintains high level of topical expertise and knowledge of all product offerings, industry trends, department policies and procedures. Participates in department meetings to communicate proactively the status of training initiatives, ideas, and concepts and to gather feedback from the management staff. Provides constructive coaching throughout training and nesting to help learners refine and enhance their technical and professional skills toward established standards. Assists with researches of cultural and techological fit for e-learning, distance learning, and web-based systems as needed. Develops and adjusts training programs geared toward the depth of knowledge required by the trainees’ position and prior skills. Working with the Safety Manager, supports the estabilishment of a safety culture by incorporating safe working practices and OSHA requirements in all training programs. Remains knowledgeable of industry trends by attending related seminars and courses, and maintaining industry certifications and performing road service calls in live conditions for members. Represents the department and organization at club, community and industry functions. Mentors and acquaints new team members with all club approved curriculum and recommended design and delivery methods. Serves as point of reference for new peer trainers by providing direct observation and feedback to peer and above. Serves as feedback channel for new products/services and pilots with affected learner environment and member service. Assists the operations during events, high call volume, and weather related storms. Works with monitoring/quality assurance team and operations leaders to identify performance gaps and opportunities and recommends learning solutions to line management.
