About The Position

Pro-Tek Field Services is hiring an experienced Senior Automation Technician to support industrial oil & gas customers. Hands-on experience with Emerson ROC800 controllers is REQUIRED. This is a customer-driven requirement, and applicants without ROC800 experience will not be considered. The ideal candidate is an automation professional with strong troubleshooting skills and experience working on oil & gas production facilities.

Requirements

Hands-on Emerson ROC800 experience (REQUIRED).
Experience working in the oil & gas industry.
Strong troubleshooting and commissioning skills.
Knowledge of SCADA systems, RTUs, PLCs, and industrial communications.
Ability to read electrical and instrumentation drawings.
Valid driver's license.

Modbus communications.
Totalflow flow computers.
Allen-Bradley PLCs.
HMI/SCADA platforms.
Instrument calibration.
Radio and telemetry systems.

Responsibilities

Install, configure, troubleshoot, and maintain Emerson ROC800 controllers.
Commission and service RTUs, PLCs, and industrial control systems.
Perform startup, calibration, and maintenance of automation and instrumentation equipment.
Diagnose and resolve communication issues involving SCADA, radios, and telemetry systems.
Configure and troubleshoot flow computers and related instrumentation.
Read and interpret P&IDs, loop drawings, electrical schematics, and control narratives.
Support new construction projects, facility upgrades, and maintenance activities.
Ensure all work is completed safely and in compliance with customer and company standards.
Travel to customer locations throughout West Texas and New Mexico as required.
