About The Position

You will apply a broad understanding of cybersecurity principles and practices to address diverse security challenges effectively.

Requirements

A Bachelor's degree in a relevant area of study with a preference for Computer Science or Computer Engineering.
Proven expertise in Python/ JavaScript / Bash programming languages.
Experience working with REST APIs.
Strong understanding of cyber security fundamentals and networking fundamentals.
Knowledge of SOAR technologies/ Automation tools: Google SecOps SOAR, Palo Alto Cortex XSOAR, Splunk SOAR, Microsoft Logic Apps.
Cloud fundamentals: AWS/Azure/GCP.
Knowledge of HTML development; databases and writing SQL queries; Unix operating systems.
Experience with Git and version control tools.
A Security Clearance is mandatory for all staff who’ll be engaged on these assignments. Nice To Haves

Industry certifications are nice to have.
A master's degree in computer science/information security or another relevant field (asset).
Knowledge of SIEM/EDR/network security tools and of networking fundamentals (asset).
Experience with CI/CD tools: Azure DevOps, Jenkins, and Puppet (asset).

Responsibilities

Lead the technical design, development and implementation of automations for various technologies that support security operations.
Draft security automation workflows and implement them in SOAR solutions.
Spearhead the establishment, implementation and adoption of best practices for methodologies.
Review and approve unit and integration testing, ensuring compliance with standards and adherence to design specifications.
Address and resolve technical issues.
Document automation processes and procedures comprehensively.
Offer broad expertise across various technical domains, with emphasis on cyber security.
Embed risk planning and mitigation strategies into all work initiatives.
Assess staffing requirements.
Execute code reviews and ensure quality control.
Engage in the continuous refinement and enhancement of SOAR capabilities to adapt to evolving security threats and operational needs.
Collaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure seamless integration of SOAR solutions within the organization's broader security architecture.
Provide mentorship and guidance to team members, fostering a culture of continuous learning and professional development within the team.
Participate in strategic planning and contribute to the long-term vision and roadmap for the organization's security operations and SOAR initiatives.
Conduct code review and provide final sign off.
