About The Position

As a cybersecurity generalist at PwC, you will focus on providing comprehensive security solutions and experience across various domains, maintaining the protection of client systems and data. You will apply a broad understanding of cybersecurity principles and practices to address diverse security challenges effectively.

Requirements

  • A Bachelor's degree in a relevant area of study with a preference for Computer Science or Computer Engineering.
  • Proven expertise in Python/ JavaScript / Bash programming languages.
  • Experience working with REST APIs.
  • Strong understanding of cyber security fundamentals and networking fundamentals.
  • Knowledge of SOAR technologies/ Automation tools: Google SecOps SOAR, Palo Alto Cortex XSOAR, Splunk SOAR, Microsoft Logic Apps.
  • Cloud fundamentals: AWS/Azure/GCP.
  • Knowledge of HTML development; databases and writing SQL queries; Unix operating systems.
  • Experience with Git and version control tools.
  • A Security Clearance is mandatory for all staff who’ll be engaged on these assignments. Nice To Haves

  • Industry certifications are nice to have.
  • A master's degree in computer science/information security or another relevant field (asset).
  • Knowledge of SIEM/EDR/network security tools and of networking fundamentals (asset).
  • Experience with CI/CD tools: Azure DevOps, Jenkins, and Puppet (asset).

Responsibilities

  • Lead the technical design, development and implementation of automations for various technologies that support security operations.
  • Draft security automation workflows and implement them in SOAR solutions.
  • Spearhead the establishment, implementation and adoption of best practices for methodologies.
  • Review and approve unit and integration testing, ensuring compliance with standards and adherence to design specifications.
  • Address and resolve technical issues.
  • Document automation processes and procedures comprehensively.
  • Offer broad expertise across various technical domains, with emphasis on cyber security.
  • Embed risk planning and mitigation strategies into all work initiatives.
  • Assess staffing requirements.
  • Execute code reviews and ensure quality control.
  • Engage in the continuous refinement and enhancement of SOAR capabilities to adapt to evolving security threats and operational needs.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure seamless integration of SOAR solutions within the organization's broader security architecture.
  • Provide mentorship and guidance to team members, fostering a culture of continuous learning and professional development within the team.
  • Participate in strategic planning and contribute to the long-term vision and roadmap for the organization's security operations and SOAR initiatives.
  • Conduct code review and provide final sign off.
