Senior Auto Technician
About The Position
We are seeking a skilled Senior Auto Technician with proven dealership experience to become part of our service team. Candidates should have at least two years of professional dealership experience and be comfortable handling a variety of maintenance and repair work. This role is ideal for a technician who can diagnose vehicle concerns, complete assigned repair orders efficiently, and continue developing their skills through ongoing training. Requirements
- At least 2 years of professional automotive technician experience in a dealership setting
- Working knowledge of brake, suspension, HVAC, and drivability systems
- Strong mechanical and diagnostic skills
- Ability to work independently while also contributing to a team environment
- Comfortable working in a busy service department and managing multiple repair orders
- Valid U.S. driver’s license with a safe driving history
Nice To Haves
- Ford certification strongly preferred
- ASE or other manufacturer certifications are a plus
Responsibilities
- Complete repairs and maintenance across a variety of vehicle systems, including brakes, suspension, HVAC, and drivability
- Diagnose mechanical and electrical problems and determine the appropriate repair
- Use diagnostic equipment and technical information to identify vehicle concerns
- Perform scheduled maintenance such as fluid services, filter replacement, and wheel alignments
- Review repair orders and complete assigned work accurately and within expected timeframes
- Communicate with Service Advisors regarding repair findings and additional work that may be needed
- Coordinate with the Parts Department to obtain the correct parts and materials for repairs
- Maintain clear and accurate documentation of all work performed
- Follow dealership and manufacturer repair procedures and quality standards
- Participate in Ford training and work toward additional STST certifications
- Keep tools and work areas clean, organized, and safe
