About The Position

Wipfli is hiring a Senior Auditor serving clients in the manufacturing, retail, and distribution industries. The role follows a hybrid work arrangement, with associates regularly working in a Wipfli office, from home, and at client sites. Client sites may be local, regional, or national, and scheduled client and office meetings require in-person attendance. The position may require travel to client sites up to 50%.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in accounting or a related field.
• Meet the educational requirements to sit for the CPA exam.
• One to three years of accounting-related experience.
• Ability to plan, prioritize, and organize work effectively across multiple tasks.
• Ability to adapt to varying levels of client complexity involving people, processes, and systems.
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
• Ability to travel to client sites up to 50%.

Nice To Haves

• CPA certification preferred; candidates actively pursuing CPA certification will be considered.

Responsibilities

• Audit financial statements, quarterly financial information, and clients’ annual reports.
• Participate in pre-audit planning, assess risks of material misstatement, and design effective audit procedures.
• Identify accounting and audit issues and research solutions.
• Test internal controls, policies, and procedures and make recommendations.
• Perform audits in accordance with GAAS, GAAP, PCAOB and AICPA auditing standards, and SOX.
• Build relationships and communicate proactively with clients and associates.
• Teach, train, and develop incoming staff and interns.
