About The Position

Wipfli is hiring a Senior Auditor focused on the construction and real estate industry. The role uses a hybrid work arrangement: associates regularly work in a Wipfli office, from home, and at client sites. Client sites may be local, regional, or national, depending on industry alignment; scheduled meetings at client locations and in the office require in-person attendance. The Senior Auditor audits financial statements, quarterly financial information, and clients’ annual reports. The role participates in pre-audit planning, assesses risks of material misstatement, designs effective audit procedures, researches accounting and audit issues, tests internal controls, and makes recommendations. Audits are performed under applicable GAAS, GAAP, PCAOB, AICPA auditing standards, and SOX requirements. The position also involves building relationships and communicating with clients and associates, and teaching, training, and developing incoming staff and interns. The role requires a bachelor’s degree in accounting or a related field, with education sufficient to sit for the CPA exam, and 1–3 years of accounting-related experience. CPA certification is preferred; candidates actively pursuing certification will be considered. Travel to client sites may be required up to 50%.
