About The Position

The Senior Audio-Visual Specialist at Sloan Technology Services will be responsible for the daily inspection, maintenance, and repair of AV systems. This role involves diagnosing and resolving hardware, software, and networking issues within classrooms and event spaces. The specialist will provide on-site technical support for classes, meetings, and special events, including support for video conferencing, recording, streaming, and AV control systems. Responsibilities also include managing work through ServiceNow, maintaining AV inventory, coordinating with vendors, and offering limited desktop support for faculty, staff, and students during events.

Requirements

High school diploma
6–8 years of professional AV experience
At least 2 years of AV experience in higher education
Expertise in professional AV technologies, including Crestron, Q-SYS, DSPs, Dante/NDI, video conferencing, and streaming platforms
Strong troubleshooting skills
Strong customer service skills
Strong communication skills
Ability to work independently in a high-profile environment
Ability to lift up to 40 pounds
Ability to use ladders or lifts

Nice To Haves

Bachelor’s degree in Audio Visual or Information Technology field
CTS certification
ITIL experience
AV related certification such as CTS
Educated in ITIL best practices and experience applying
