The Department of Juvenile Justice is seeking a Senior Attorney to advocate for the Department in delinquency court, provide legal advice and training to personnel, and initiate and represent the Department in Child in Need of Services (CINS) cases. This role also involves providing legal oversight of Family in Need of Services (FINS) cases, acting as a liaison with Circuit Courts and stakeholders, analyzing statutes and regulations, and completing legislative bill analysis. The position is an anticipated vacancy and training will be provided. Prior juvenile law experience is not necessary. All prospective candidates will be subject to a sex offender check, criminal background checks, and pre-employment drug screening. DJJ participates in E-Verify.
