About The Position
This role involves handling all phases of complex commercial litigation matters from inception through resolution. The Senior Attorney/Partner will represent clients in financial services, securities, FINRA, and commercial litigation disputes. Responsibilities include drafting and arguing motions, pleadings, briefs, and other legal documents, conducting depositions, hearings, mediations, arbitrations, and trials. The position also requires managing client relationships, serving as a trusted legal advisor, supervising and mentoring junior attorneys and legal staff, contributing to business development initiatives, and collaborating with firm leadership on case strategy and client service initiatives. The expected annual billable hours are 1,850.
Requirements
- J.D. from an accredited law school.
- Active admission to the New York Bar.
- Significant experience in commercial litigation.
- Strong legal research, writing, and advocacy skills.
- Ability to independently manage cases and client relationships.
- Experience supervising associates or managing litigation teams.
- Demonstrated business development experience or the potential to develop and manage a book of business.
- Experience in Financial Services Litigation.
- Securities Litigation experience.
- FINRA arbitration or regulatory experience.
