About The Position

Senior Associates in Andersen’s Private Accounting Solutions practice participate in accounting planning and consulting for a variety of clients, including executives, entrepreneurs, and business entities. The role involves identifying complex accounting and financial reporting issues, performing accounting and general ledger functions, addressing financial-related issues, conducting advanced accounting research, and assisting with project management. Senior Associates also supervise and contribute to the professional development of Associates, Paraprofessionals, and Interns. They receive formal and on-the-job training, direct feedback from industry leaders, and opportunities to pursue further training through internal and external resources.

Requirements

At least 2 years of relevant experience.
A bachelor’s degree and/or relevant advanced degree, such as an MAcc, MST, or JD.
Minimum GPA of 3.0.
An advanced credential or desire to obtain one, such as a CPA.
Self-starter with initiative to seek out opportunities and ability to work successfully in a fast-paced, high-pressure environment.
Proficient use of technology.

Nice To Haves

Experience with Audit & Assurance or Outsourced Accounting teams within an accounting firm.
A degree in Accounting, Finance, Economics, or a related field.

Responsibilities

Identify complex accounting and financial reporting issues.
Produce and review financial statements prepared on a GAAP basis and under Other Comprehensive Basis of Accounting (OCBOA).
Perform accounting and general ledger functions.
Identify financial-related issues.
Perform advanced accounting research.
Assist in project management.
Supervise and participate in the professional development of Associates, Paraprofessionals, and Interns.
