About The Position

CLA is seeking a Senior Associate to join its Credit Risk team serving the Financial Services Industry. The role supports credit risk consulting engagements, builds client relationships, and maintains close attention to client needs. It also includes training and coaching new staff to prepare them for more complex assignments and engagements.

The position requires frequent local travel to client sites and regular overnight, non-local travel exceeding 20%.

Requirements

• Bachelor's degree required; a combination of relevant experience, education, and training may be accepted in lieu of a degree.
• Two years of relevant experience required.
• Proficiency with Microsoft Windows and Microsoft Office products.
• Ability to understand internal software systems, including Pfx Engagement.
• Frequent local travel to and from client sites and regular overnight, non-local travel exceeding 20%.

• A degree in accounting, finance, or a related field is preferred.

Responsibilities

• Manage tasks for loan reviews and other engagements as directed by the lead loan reviewer or other CLA credit risk team members.
• Prepare and analyze borrower financial statements for loan reviews.
• Coordinate the timely completion of fieldwork.
• Review and/or assist with preparing credit review reports.
• Provide ongoing technical assistance to clients.
• Assist with other engagements, special projects, or assigned duties.
• Provide administrative support to the credit risk services line as needed.
• Assist with business development and strategic activities in credit management.
• Help establish and maintain relationships with key bank executives and directors.
• Work with CLA team members and clients to address credit review issues.
• Keep current on banking industry, accounting, and credit review developments through formal and self-education.
• Train and coach new staff members.
