Charles River Associates (CRA) is a global consulting firm providing economic, financial, and business management expertise to law firms, corporations, and governments. The Finance practice applies expertise in finance, accounting, and economics to significant legal and regulatory matters, often quantifying economic damages in complex commercial litigation. Work may involve valuation disputes, financial-market matters, and the development of fact-specific financial models. Analyses are summarized in expert reports presenting opinions and supporting analysis for use in court. Senior Associates work with CRA colleagues and academic experts on project teams. They analyze financial and economic data, develop models, communicate findings to clients and senior stakeholders, and contribute to client deliverables and practice development. The position is intended for PhD or ABD candidates graduating in late 2026 or 2027. CRA supports colleague development through formal and informal skills programs, technical and presentation training, seminars, mentoring, and performance coaching. The firm describes a work arrangement involving an average of three to four days per week in the office, with days coordinated with the practice or team; work may also involve another CRA office or a client location. The annual base salary estimate is $180,000–$212,500, with possible additional bonus incentive compensation. Benefits are subject to eligibility requirements.
