About The Position

BioMed Realty is seeking an experienced Finance Senior Associate (Senior Manager) to support corporate finance functions, including financial planning and analysis, quarterly reporting, portfolio analysis, and preparation of materials and presentations for senior management and investors. The role owns and maintains the company’s corporate financial model, assesses tenant credit health, and helps communicate financial performance and analysis to leadership. The position provides leadership, guidance, and mentorship to team members; coordinates with accounting, capital markets, equity sponsorship, and other functions; and manages competing workstreams and deadlines. It also contributes to the redesign of company data infrastructure and related processes, using Excel and Oracle EPM Cloud. Success includes developing thorough knowledge of the corporate model and business drivers, improving models and deliverables, becoming proficient in the ERP system, and leading high-quality, decision-ready tenant credit underwriting.

Requirements

Bachelor of Arts or Bachelor of Science degree with strong academic performance in Finance, Real Estate, Economics, or a related field.
Advanced experience with real estate cash flows and financial models in Excel.
High proficiency in Microsoft Excel and PowerPoint.
Strong organization, thoughtfulness, and attention to detail.
Ability to manage multiple workstreams and deadlines, delegate effectively, and communicate status to stakeholders.
Ability to clearly convey technical information orally and in written correspondence, reports, and presentations.

Nice To Haves

Prior experience with database management and/or enterprise reporting systems such as SAP BPC, Oracle Hyperion, or Oracle EPM Cloud.

Responsibilities

Own and maintain the company’s corporate financial model, ensuring accurate forecasts of consolidated portfolio cash flows to support long-term earnings and liquidity planning.
Identify, design, and implement enhancements to improve model functionality, efficiency, and usefulness for senior management decision-making.
Perform scenario and sensitivity analyses to evaluate impacts on key financial performance metrics.
Translate model outputs into clear, executive-level insights for leadership.
Analyze tenant financial statements, operating performance, and liquidity to assess tenants’ ability to meet lease obligations.
Monitor the existing tenant portfolio for credit health.
Provide leadership, guidance, and mentorship to team members on related workflows.
Lead analysis, summarization, and presentation of monthly financial performance versus forecast for senior management.
Collaborate with accounting, capital markets, equity sponsorship, and other functions to produce and review reporting deliverables.
Prioritize and manage multiple workstreams and deadlines, delegate effectively, and communicate status to stakeholders.
Respond to ad hoc requests from the sponsor and senior management in other functions to support business decisions and activities.
Contribute to redesigning company data infrastructure and related processes.
Use Excel and Oracle EPM Cloud to support the work described.
Manage tenant credit underwriting, including review and quality control, delegating requests, coaching team members, and ensuring recommendations are thorough, well-supported, and decision-ready.
Develop working proficiency in the company’s ERP system and independently extract and validate data needed for the role.
