Senior Associate, Venue Infrastructure Delivery
About The Position
LA28 is the independent, non-profit, privately funded organizing committee for the Los Angeles 2028 Olympic and Paralympic Games. The organization is focused on creating an unparalleled experience for athletes, fans, partners, and the community. This role is part of the Venue and Infrastructure (VNI) team, which is critical in delivering functional, innovative, and accessible competition and non-competition venues. The VNI team ensures all venues are designed and developed to the highest standards of functionality, sustainability, and inclusion. The Sr. Associate, Venue Infrastructure Delivery will support the planning, design, delivery, and operational readiness of venues for the Olympic and Paralympic Games, working cross-functionally with internal and external stakeholders to meet functional requirements, budget parameters, and delivery timelines. The role will initially involve coordinating with internal teams, external partners, and consultants to finalize venue designs, and will transition to on-site execution, construction, and delivery.
Requirements
- 4+ years of relevant industry experience.
- Bachelor’s degree in Architecture, Engineering, Sports Management, Construction Management, Event Management, or related field or equivalent work experience
- Proven ability to manage multiple stakeholders and build strong cross-functional relationships.
- Strong organizational and project management skills with attention to detail.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office, including Excel and PowerPoint
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to present information effectively.
- Ability to work independently and adapt to changing priorities in a fast-paced environment.
Nice To Haves
- Familiarity with sports and major event planning preferred.
- familiarity with AutoCAD or similar tools advantageous.
Responsibilities
- Manage relationships with internal functional areas (FAs) to support the development of Venue Infrastructure
- Support the development and delivery of venue infrastructure plans across assigned venues
- Provide recommendations and resolve planning challenges to support efficient and effective venue delivery
- Assist in the management of external consultants, vendors, and delivery partners
- Assist in identifying risks, issues, and mitigation strategies related to venue infrastructure delivery
- Contribute to continuous improvement of processes, tools, and systems within the Venue Development team
- Support planning for operational readiness, including transition from planning to delivery phases
- Work closely with key functional areas including Sport, Event Management and Operational departments, to ensure cohesive planning and delivery of venue infrastructure
- Support the development and tracking of project schedules, budgets, and key deliverables
- Contribute to venue design reviews and planning processes, ensuring compliance with Games requirements and standards
- Facilitate communication and coordination across multiple stakeholders to support project alignment and delivery
Benefits
- The salary range for this position is $73,000.00 - $95,000.00.
