About The Position

This role supports and contributes to the company’s work across capital formation, investor relations, communications, and commercial partnerships. The position is embedded in the EVP Strategy's work, including fundraising, PR, and customer and partner engagement. The associate will manage the EVP’s calendar, travel, and meeting logistics, prepare briefing documents, draft presentations and one-pagers, update and collaborate on financial models, draft written communications, maintain the EVP’s CRM, support PR and communications efforts, help with preparation for board meetings and investor touchpoints, and attend select meetings, conferences, and events. This is a high-agency, high-trust position on a lean team commercializing a once-in-a-generation technology. As the company scales, the associate may help hire another associate and step into a more senior role with ownership of strategic relationships and initiatives. There is no upper limit on advancement within the company.

Requirements

  • 2-4 years of experience in management consulting, investment banking, venture capital, or a high-growth startup in an operational or strategic role
  • Bachelor’s degree required
  • Expert-level Excel/Google Sheets and investor-grade presentation skills (PowerPoint, Keynote, Figma)
  • Exceptional written communication; able to condense complex ideas into crisp bullets and headlines, and flex style for various audiences
  • Strong affinity for, and facility with, technology, including but not limited to AI tools, CRMs, productivity software, and whatever comes next
  • Demonstrated “extreme ownership” and comfort with tight deadlines, incomplete information, and senior-level scrutiny
  • Experience in or strong affinity for technology-oriented, engineering-driven companies

Nice To Haves

  • Advanced degree (MBA, MS, or equivalent) is a strong plus
  • Familiarity with energy, AI infrastructure, data center, and/or climate tech markets

Responsibilities

  • Manage the EVP’s calendar, travel, and meeting logistics, and handle personal administrative tasks.
  • Prepare briefing documents, talking points, and background materials for meetings.
  • Draft presentations, one-pagers, and pitch materials in PowerPoint, Keynote, or Figma.
  • Update and collaborate on financial models in Excel and Google Sheets and produce data visualizations.
  • Draft written communications, including follow-up emails, investor updates, partner correspondence, and internal memos.
  • Maintain and organize the EVP’s CRM of investors, partners, and key contacts.
  • Support PR and communications efforts, including drafting content and coordinating outreach.
  • Help with preparation, logistics, and follow-up for board meetings, investor touchpoints, and commercial partner engagements.
  • Attend select meetings, conferences, and events, initially in a support capacity and increasingly as a representative.
