About The Position

DoorDash Drive is seeking a Senior Associate, Strategic Growth Initiatives & GTM to help bring new SaaS products to market for their merchant partners. These products are designed to help merchants build customer relationships and enhance their brand presence. The role involves working across multiple products within the DoorDash Commerce Platform, serving enterprise restaurant brands, regional chains, and independent operators. The position is a blend of strategy and operations, requiring the individual to own or support various initiatives aimed at driving product adoption and merchant success.

Requirements

  • Experience bringing a product to market or close involvement in the process.
  • Genuine curiosity about the product and a desire to understand merchant problems before strategizing.
  • Ability to sell directly to decision-makers, understand their problems and objections, and influence them.
  • Comfort with ambiguity and the ability to manage context-switching between different tasks.
  • Proficiency in using AI tools (e.g., Claude Code) for workflow automation, analysis, and operational leverage.
  • Strong personality and ability to build rapport easily, working effectively with opinionated stakeholders.
  • Preference for engaging directly with end customers over theoretical analysis.
  • Experience with consultative selling, whether or not it was the official title.
  • Real product curiosity, digging into how things work.
  • Ability to build and test pricing or GTM hypotheses.
  • Fluency with AI tools (Claude Code, Cursor, similar) as part of the daily workflow.
  • Ability to write clearly, present persuasively, and hold a room with senior stakeholders.
  • Comfort spanning enterprise and SMB segments with different merchant motivations and sales motions.

Responsibilities

  • Iterate the sales playbook and product positioning, testing and scaling messaging for different merchant segments.
  • Run competitive positioning by mapping the landscape and building the case for the product's value proposition.
  • Sell directly to merchants by engaging with decision-makers, understanding their workflows and goals, and demonstrating how the tools can solve their problems.
  • Onboard merchants by designing and running the onboarding experience to drive high adoption and stickiness.
  • Shape the product by feeding quantitative data and qualitative feedback from merchants into the product roadmap.
  • Work cross-functionally with Product, Engineering, Analytics, and Sales teams, leveraging technical skills and collaborating with account owners.
