About The Position

Research and Development (R&D) Tax Senior Associates work across a wide range of clients and industries. Senior Associates must possess strong technical knowledge and project management skills to manage R&D Tax Credit and Section 174 engagements. Senior Associates can expect to participate in the day-to-day responsibilities on R&D Tax Credit and Sec. 174 engagements, including leading technical interviews with subject matter experts, preparing calculations, and preparing deliverables. They will also provide technical guidance and training to team members, prepare proposals for both prospective and current clients, communicate with clients, manage multiple project deadlines, and remain current on legislative changes. The firm offers formal training, on the job training, and the opportunity to pursue additional training through internal and external resources.

Requirements

  • 2+ years of experience managing R&D Tax Credit and Section 174 analyses
  • Bachelor’s and/or relevant advanced degree (MAcc, MST, JD)
  • Minimum GPA of 3.0
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills
  • Strong working knowledge of Excel
  • Applicants must be currently authorized to work in the United States on a full-time basis upon hire. Andersen will not consider candidates for this position who require sponsorship for employment visa status now or in the future (e.g., H-1B status).

Nice To Haves

  • Accounting, Engineering, or related degree
  • Advanced credential allowing for IRS client representation (i.e. CPA, JD) preferred
  • Working knowledge of accounting methods, including UNICAP is a plus
