About The Position

Capital One’s Small Business Bank (SBB) is seeking a Senior Associate to help build its Data Evangelization function. The role partners with leaders to shape and communicate the SBB data story, evangelize data services, and execute high-priority business initiatives supporting the organization’s data transformation agenda. It combines project management with strategic communications and involves working closely with stakeholders across the organization to deliver project objectives, escalate issues appropriately, and gain buy-in.

The position manages governance routines and tracks objectives and key results (OKRs). It also advances internal data communications, develops content informed by data insights, and supports programs that strengthen connectivity and the associate experience. The role is designated hybrid, with on-site presence required according to Capital One’s hybrid policy at the designated office location.

Requirements

• High school diploma, GED, or equivalent certification.
• At least 1 year of project management experience.
• At least 1 year of communications experience.
• Ability to manage simultaneous projects, prioritize, take ownership, and adapt to strategic shifts.
• Strong written and verbal communication skills, including the ability to distill complex material into concise project updates and present to diverse audiences.
• Strong business acumen and a history of establishing trusting, collaborative work relationships.
• Curiosity, goal orientation, an interest in learning about Capital One’s data environment, and eagerness to drive innovation.
• Strong customer orientation and the ability to establish structure in dynamic environments.

Nice To Haves

• Bachelor’s degree or military experience.
• At least 2 years of project management experience.
• At least 2 years of communications experience.
• At least 2 years of experience working with cross-functional teams.
• PMP, Lean, Agile, or Six Sigma certification.

Responsibilities

• Build and manage project frameworks to keep high-priority data initiatives on track.
• Partner with stakeholders across functions and levels, providing tactical thought partnership and influencing progress toward shared goals.
• Oversee governance routines, including Monthly Business Reviews, OKR tracking, and strategy reporting.
• Advance the data communication strategy and implement ways to reach target audiences and build relationships with adjacent teams.
• Identify themes and use data insights to develop narratives and thoughtful content for the SBB data story.
• Support programs and routines that foster connectivity and enrich the associate experience.
• Assist with cross-functional project design.
• Deliver project objectives, escalate appropriately, and gain stakeholder buy-in.
