About The Position

The Capital One ATM & Cash Program Management Office team is looking for a well-qualified Sr. Associate, Project Manager to support the Channels Strategy and Experience Team in Retail Bank. Capital One currently offers approximately 1,200 ATMs within its national banking footprint that helps to modernize the ATM fleet. As Capital One transforms its physical presence across branches, consumer and Café markets, the ATM will continue to play a significant role in meeting customer transaction needs. We are seeking a dedicated, disciplined, project professional who excels in a team environment and is able to perform independently with minimal supervision. This person should have excellent written and oral communication skills, strong attention to detail, the ability to build relationships with internal and external stakeholders, along with the ability to adapt to a fast paced environment. A key to success in the position is the ability to manage project work and communications across multiple cross functional teams.

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s Degree or Military experience
  • At least 3 years of Project Management experience
  • At least 3 years of experience using Google Suite or Microsoft Office

Nice To Haves

  • Master’s Degree
  • 4+ years of Project Management experience
  • 1+ year of experience in a Project Management Office
  • 2+ years of Process Management experience
  • CAPM, PMP, Lean, Agile, or Six Sigma certification
  • Excellent oral and written communication skills
  • Able to work effectively in a fast paced environment
  • Strong organizational skills including attention to detail
  • Excellent problem solving and analytical skills

Responsibilities

  • Lead cross functional technical and operational projects through the PMO lifecycle governance process
  • Build relationships with internal and external project stakeholders
  • Manage and communicate with multiple stakeholders to effectively manage & drive projects to completion and within scheduled timelines i.e., Branch/Café leadership, installers, security, cash, servicing, and equipment manufacturer vendors
  • Anticipate and proactively identify and mitigate risks while adhering to regulatory and compliance requirements for project activities
  • Document projects appropriately to tell the journey of the project, ensuring decision points and issues are historically preserved
  • Support PMO tollgate governance process needs (dashboard data, coaching junior project managers)
  • Have excellent verbal and written communication skills (compelling, clear, concise) in multiple formats (agendas, minutes, status), in order to share status, risks, wins, and escalate issues to core project team members, stakeholders, and executives/sponsors.
  • Support additional BAU responsibilities related to the ATM & Cash PMO team
