About The Position
The Senior Associate, Privately Held Business role at Armanino supports tax consulting and compliance work for privately held businesses and their owners. The position includes preparing and reviewing tax returns, conducting online tax research, identifying tax-planning opportunities, and developing strategies that align with client needs and goals. The Senior Associate also contributes to practice development and strategy, helps identify new service capabilities or delivery channels, and mentors and trains interns and staff.
Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Tax, Finance, or a related discipline.
- At least 2 years of experience in US tax consulting or compliance within public accounting.
- Experience with a wide variety of entity types.
Nice To Haves
- Master’s degree in Accounting or Taxation.
- CPA or equivalent credential.
Responsibilities
- Prepare and review tax returns for individuals, partnerships, S corporations, and C corporations.
- Conduct online tax research.
- Identify tax-planning opportunities throughout the year and develop tax strategies aligned with client needs and goals.
- Assist in identifying and promoting new delivery capabilities and channels to address evolving market requirements.
- Support the partner team in developing and planning practice strategy, objectives, and budgets.
- Mentor key talent and train, develop, and mentor interns and staff.
