About The Position

The Senior Associate plays a critical role in managing the daily operations of the Momentum program and supporting the broader team to engage ventures and deliver an exceptional program experience. As a logistical and administrative anchor, this role provides comprehensive support spanning program management, venture communications, event planning and execution, and detailed data entry. Furthermore, as a key member of the team, the Senior Associate is heavily involved in diverse strategic projects and gains valuable exposure to the scale-up advisory work that forms the core mission of Momentum.

Requirements

  • A minimum of a Bachelor's Degree is required for this role
  • A minimum of 2 years of relevant professional experience
  • Strong capabilities utilizing G-Suite and a corporate CRM, with a preference for Salesforce
  • Excellent communication skills across all mediums, including oral, written, and presentation skills
  • Strong organizational abilities paired with robust process and project management skills
  • A self-motivated attitude with the ability to work effectively both independently and as a collaborative team member
  • Superior interpersonal skills to navigate stakeholder relationships
  • The ability to seamlessly multi-task and thrive in a fast-paced environment
  • Applicants must be legally eligible to work in Canada, reside in Ontario and be willing to work out of our Toronto office (101 College Street) a minimum of 3 days per week.

Responsibilities

  • Take full ownership of assigned operational tasks, driving seamless execution across the board.
  • Act as a highly responsive coordinator for scheduling sessions internally, with ventures, and alongside other key stakeholders. Take proactive ownership of logistics and administrative tasks for assigned projects, handling everything from hospitality approvals to room bookings.
  • Master MaRS procurement rules to effectively follow internal processes, proactively flagging challenges and hurdles as they arise. Process invoices rapidly and correctly, providing timely financial information to assist the Program Director with budget planning.
  • Build and maintain a constructive rapport with external vendors to ensure the successful execution of Momentum program elements.
  • Serve as the coordination lead to ensure peer-to-peer events run consistently and smoothly. This includes convening substantive leads for event planning, arranging all logistics, troubleshooting barriers to event execution, and proactively suggesting areas for ongoing improvement.
  • Take ownership of collecting key program information, such as Net Promoter Scores (NPS) and services delivered. Be responsible for storing, analyzing, and presenting this data to the larger program team, acting as the resident expert on Salesforce processes.
  • Deliver high-level support that enables our advisors to excel in their advisory work. This involves complex scheduling, meticulous note-taking, and preparing engaging communications and promotional materials.
  • Act as the direct backup to the Momentum Client Engagement Manager. Maintain a strong understanding of venture contacts, Momentum activities, and the engagement status of key ventures. Support venture prospecting through careful data collection and aggregation.
