The Clinton Health Access Initiative, Inc. (CHAI) is a global health organization committed to saving lives and reducing the burden of disease in low- and middle-income countries. CHAI works with governments and the private sector to create and sustain high-quality health systems. Founded in 2002, CHAI has expanded its focus from HIV/AIDS to include infectious diseases like COVID-19, malaria, tuberculosis, and hepatitis, as well as non-communicable diseases such as cancer, diabetes, and hypertension. The organization also works to accelerate vaccine rollouts, reduce maternal and child mortality, combat malnutrition, and increase access to assistive technology. CHAI invests in horizontal approaches to strengthen health systems through programs in human resources for health, digital health, and health financing, with a strategy grounded in maximizing sustainable impact at scale. CHAI values its diverse team of enthusiastic individuals across 40 countries and is committed to providing equal employment opportunities. The Global Diagnostics Team (GDT) within CHAI works across disease areas and countries to expand access to high-quality, affordable diagnostic services and technologies. The team supports governments and partners in strengthening laboratory systems, improving diagnostic networks, introducing and scaling new technologies, and addressing market, procurement, supply-chain, and health-system barriers. GDT collaborates closely with CHAI country and program teams, governments, donors, manufacturers, procurement partners, and other global health stakeholders, combining technical understanding of diagnostics with market intelligence, quantitative analysis, and practical understanding of procurement and supply-chain dynamics.
