About The Position

As a member of DTCC’s IT CSS-WRAFT Delivery team, the Senior Associate, Mainframe Engineer will provide hands-on technical leadership for the mainframe core of Fund/SERV, the industry’s centralized platform for processing and settling mutual fund transactions. The role focuses on strengthening resiliency, performance, and change safety across systems used by hundreds of firms and tens of thousands of securities daily. The engineer will strengthen engineering practices for COBOL, DB2, CICS, and MQ; improve testing and deployment automation; and capture and curate system knowledge to reduce key-person and legacy-system risk. The role partners with Product, Operations, Infrastructure, Business System Analysts, and distributed engineering teams to advance modernization efforts involving APIs, data access, and platform simplification. It also supports follow-the-sun readiness and cross-site collaboration, with the goal of faster and safer releases, higher availability, and more predictable delivery for the mutual funds ecosystem. DTCC offers a flexible hybrid model with three days onsite and two days remote. Onsite days include Tuesdays, Wednesdays, and a third day determined by the team or employee. The posting lists competitive compensation, a base pay and annual incentive, health and life insurance and well-being benefits based on location, pension or retirement benefits, and paid time off and personal/family care and other leaves.
