About The Position

Carmel Partners, a leading real estate investment management firm, is seeking a Senior Associate, Investor Services for its San Francisco Office. This role is part of the Investor Relations team, which serves as the liaison between the firm and its institutional investors. The Senior Associate will be central to communicating Carmel's strategy, performance, and story to investors, and will manage the systems and materials the team uses. Reporting to the Senior Vice President, this is a high-visibility position offering exposure to institutional capital, real estate investment strategy, and firm leadership. The role requires intellectual rigor and meticulous execution.

Requirements

  • A bachelor’s degree in a relevant field such as finance, business, or economics.
  • 4+ years of relevant experience, preferably in private real estate or private equity funds.
  • Experience in investor relations, investment consulting, asset management, investment banking, or fund administration is also welcomed.
  • A comprehensive understanding of broad financial markets and indices.
  • A demonstrated track record of successfully building and managing processes.
  • The ability to translate complicated financial data and topics into a concise, consumable format.
  • Comfort working with financial data and models with a high degree of accuracy and attention to detail.
  • Advanced proficiency in MS Office Suite, particularly PowerPoint, Excel, and Word.
  • Familiarity with emerging data and analytics tools and the ability to leverage data insights.
  • The ability to thrive in a dynamic and fast-paced environment.
  • Deep intellectual curiosity and the desire to apply excellent technical skills.
  • Excellent organization and time management skills – able to manage and execute multiple quantitative projects simultaneously.
  • Exceptional communication, presentation, and interpersonal skills.

Responsibilities

  • Craft fund marketing collateral, quarterly investor communications, and presentations for senior leadership, with a strong point of view on content, design, and messaging.
  • Serve as a trusted point of contact for institutional investors, responding to diligence questions, data requests, and ad-hoc inquiries with precision.
  • Support capital raising efforts, including building fundraising materials, facilitating the offering documents process, and preparing research for prospecting strategy.
  • Partner with the SVP on investor events, managing projects from concept to execution, including associated materials.
  • Identify and lead process improvements within the department, developing scalable systems from manual tasks.
  • Manage the data infrastructure for investor relationships, including CRM, Qvidian, Preqin/Evestment, and Microsoft Office suite, ensuring accuracy and audit-readiness.
  • Oversee day-to-day operations of the Investor Relations group, including inbox management, list management, and data reconciliation.
