About The Position

Dreamwear is a leading wholesale intimate apparel and sleepwear company working with brands such as Juicy Couture, Laura Ashley, Danskin, and Hanky Panky. The Graphics department oversees packaging and visual presentation across the company, including hangers, belly bands, hangtags, call-out tags, retail packaging and other customer-specific packaging formats. The team manages the end-to-end process from concept and artwork development through photography, retouching, physical samples and production approvals, partnering closely with Product Development, Design, Sales, licensors, retailers and overseas factories/vendors. We are seeking a Senior Associate Graphic (Packaging) Designer to join the team. This mid-level role will have a particular focus on supporting our Shapewear Product Development team, (where packaging and visual communication are a significant part of the product presentation), as well as packaging needs for all of our club programs. The ideal candidate is a strong hands-on designer who can independently manage assigned projects, translate product and retailer requirements into compelling packaging, and execute accurately from initial concept through production.

Requirements

  • 4-5 years of professional graphic design experience, with packaging and consumer products.
  • Proficiency in Adobe Suite, particularly Illustrator, Photoshop and InDesign.
  • Strong working knowledge of packaging artwork, dielines, print production and preparation of production-ready files.
  • Ability to independently own projects while collaborating effectively with cross-functional partners and responding to feedback.
  • Exceptional attention to detail and organizational skills, with the ability to manage multiple projects and deadlines in a fast-paced environment.
  • Strong communication and problem-solving skills; comfortable working directly with internal partners and overseas factories/vendors.
  • Working knowledge of current design, packaging, retail and fashion trends, with the ability to translate trends appropriately for different brands and customers.

Responsibilities

  • Design and execute a wide range of packaging and retail presentation materials, including hangtags, belly bands, call-out tags, inserts, labels, cartons, mockups and other product-specific packaging needs.
  • Serve as a key partner to the Shapewear Product Development team, developing packaging and visual solutions that clearly communicate product features, benefits, fit, function and selling points.
  • Support Costco programs and customer-specific packaging requirements across multiple brands, including retail-ready and distribution packaging such as shippers, case packs, cartons, labels and related artwork, based on retailer specifications and internal direction.
  • Manage assigned projects from initial concept through final production, balancing creative development with technical accuracy, timelines, brand standards and retailer requirements.
  • Create and adapt packaging artwork using dielines; apply strong layout, typography, color theory and grid structure while ensuring all copy, dimensions, callouts, legal/required information and production details are accurate.
  • Partner closely with Product Development, Design, Sales and other cross-functional teams to understand product attributes and translate requests into clear, effective visual communication.
  • Work within licensor and retailer brand guidelines while bringing forward thoughtful, on-brand design solutions and recommendations for updates or improvements when appropriate.
  • Prepare production-ready files, review proofs and physical samples, and communicate directly with overseas factories/vendors to resolve artwork or execution issues and ensure the approved creative vision is maintained through production.
  • Research competitive packaging, retail presentation and market trends, including in-store research, and proactively share relevant ideas and opportunities with the team.
  • Manage multiple concurrent projects and shifting priorities with a high level of organization, attention to detail and follow-through.
