About The Position

This is a job opening for a Senior Associate, Finance in San Mateo, California. The company is a venture-backed hardware company developing autonomous robotic systems for the U.S. defense community. The role involves a Forward Deployed Engineer who will take the command-and-control platform from the lab into the hands of users. The engineer will spend significant time on location with military and government teams at bases, ports, and test ranges across the country and overseas, often along coastlines and waterways. Responsibilities include standing up and integrating mission software, solving problems as they surface, and building new features on the spot in Golang and React based on operator needs. The work is varied, involving tasks such as tracing faults across networked systems, configuring sensors, or guiding unmanned vehicles through live exercises. Deployments provide insights that will be relayed to the product team. The role also includes mentoring junior engineers and serving as a trusted technical contact for customers. Requirements

Five to seven years of full-stack or forward-deployed engineering experience.
Time in a senior, customer-facing role where you led relationships and mentored others.
Advanced skills in Golang and React.
Proven ability to design and support dependable distributed systems.
Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Mathematics, Economics, or a related technical field.
A self-directed, calm approach to troubleshooting software, networks, and hardware in fast-moving field conditions.
Willingness to travel more than 50% domestically and internationally.
Eligibility for a U.S. Secret clearance.
U.S. work authorization without visa sponsorship.
