About The Position

This role involves performing Construction Project Management, including planning, designing, and overseeing the reconfiguration, construction, and alteration of equipment, machinery, buildings, structures, and other facilities. The engineer will gather and review data related to facility or equipment specifications, company/government restrictions, schedules, and feasibility. They will use AutoCad for concept and construction documents, coordinate with external architecture and engineering firms, and prepare bid sheets, project justifications, statements of work, and contracts. Responsibilities also include reviewing and estimating design costs, managing budgets, approving contracts and purchases, and overseeing construction to ensure conformance with drawings, specifications, cost, and schedule.

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s Degree and a minimum of 2 years of prior related engineer experience.
  • Graduate Degree or equivalent with 0 to 2 years of prior related facilities engineer experience.
  • In lieu of a degree, minimum of 6 years of prior related facilities engineer experience.
  • Proficiency in AutoCad software.

Responsibilities

  • Perform Construction Project Management.
  • Plan, design, and oversee the reconfiguration, construction, and alteration of equipment, machinery, buildings, structures, and other facilities.
  • Gather and review data concerning facility or equipment specifications, company or government restrictions and guidelines, required completion schedule, and execution feasibility.
  • Utilize AutoCad software to develop concept and construction documents for a wide range of Facility projects.
  • Coordinate with architecture and engineering firms in developing design criteria and preparing layout and detail drawings.
  • Prepare bid sheets, project justification, statement of work documents and contracts for construction and facilities acquisition.
  • Review and estimate design costs including equipment, installation, labor, materials, preparation, and other related costs.
  • Manage to approved budgets and approve contracts and purchases.
  • Oversee the construction and installation to ensure conformance to established drawings, specifications, cost and schedule.
